Play Therapy

Do you feel worried about your child? Do they often seem over-emotional or too quiet & withdrawn? Are they struggling with friendships or other relationships? Have they, or those close to them, experienced some big life changes recently that's left your child feeling discombobulated? Or have they been through some trauma?

Play Therapy is a well recognised form of psychotherapy which provides children with a safe, confidential space for them to work through their worries. I make use of emotional regulation, empathic listening, connection, therapeutic knowledge and of course playfulness to provide the support your child or young person needs to do this important work. As a non-directive, client-led process I use cues and clues to gain an insight into your child's world. There does not need to be lots of play in the traditional sense, if that is not who your child is. There will be a wide variety of toys, craft and sensory materials for them to choose to play with.

Alternatively contact me for a meeting to see if the services I offer would be a good fit for you and your family. This is a free no-obligation meeting. It’s important that you feel your therapeutic partner is the best fit they can be for you and your family.
